Summary

Every year the clans hold out their hope in that perhaps the Dread Wolf will be pleased with their offering of the year and spare them of a terrible harvest; of his torment. But he has not ever been so kind, has not ever taken a liking to any of the offerings. Every year the clans take turns, and a Dalish maiden is chosen—sent into his forest crying and shaking in fear, in hopes that he will take her as a bride and find whatever he deems as worthy, then leave the clans in peace.
However, he has yet to find any of them suitable.
