*The missions are all canon until the "Alone" mission, which similar yet not, then it goes completely different than what is from the game. This is a work in progress, I may go back an edit, but I hope to upload weekly if not every 2 weeks. I have no idea how long this thing will be, but boy oh boy do I have plans >:)

Following the events of both "I'm Here, Love" and "Together", this fic takes place the days following where Soap is having to deal with the aftermath of his traumatic experience. The Task Force visit a pub one night, to get away from all the nosy recruits only for Soap to have an encounter with the last people he wanted to see.

Waking in Ghost's room the next morning, Soap fights his new inner demons only to learn the recruits from the previous night are lying about the truth of what happened.
Ghost wakes to Johnny closing himself in his bathroom and helps comfort him. While talking with Price, he is forced to confront some of his own demons.
*Chapter 1 is primarily the aftermath of the first fic, Chapter 2 is fluff and smut!

“The smell,” Ghost clarifies through clenched teeth. “It’s not the car. It’s me.”
Soap is silent. Ghost flicks a quick look his way. It’s mostly confusion on Soap’s face, though what looks like a smile threatens to crack through, like this could possibly be one of Ghost’s stupid jokes.
“But it smells like omega,” Soap says, “and you’re—”
“Not a fucking alpha, MacTavish,” Ghost spits.
Another look Soap’s way. His eyes are wide, mouth slack in surprise.
“Oh.”

He motions his head towards the door, "you wanna go outside..?"
Soap sighs again and shakes his head, "no, I don't."
"Then what do you ─"
"Sorry I'm late, love" another man's voice says, "got a bit caught up."
When he glances over, this new guy is taking the other seat next to Soap, pulling the stool closer and nodding down at him. This man is tall, too, even sitting down he's taller than Soap. He can't see much of his facial features, the bottom half of his face hidden behind a black mask, but his honey brown eyes are captivating.
