A few days following the Ghost Bride incident, your bad luck strikes again in the form of Crowley giving you and Grim the stressful task of assisting Deuce, Trey, and Idia, who will be the Stargazers for Night Raven College's upcoming Starsending event - a yearly event where all of NRC's students make wishes to send to the stars, which the Stargazers are in charge of collecting.
Regrettably, every year, almost the entire NRC student body is always very uncooperative since they all see participating in Starsending as a chore, making the wish-collecting process quite difficult for the Stargazers, and you're sure that things will only get worse for the Stargazers this year due to your involvement, because you're so unpopular with the majority of the student body. That's why you are not looking forward to what this troublesome school event has in store for you.

After Merlin's magic is discovered by Arthur, he understands the king's need for some time apart. But the loss of the king's trust is a bitter pill to swallow, and even more so the loss of his love. Forced to wait until Arthur is willing to deal with him again, Merlin begins to realize that the loss of Arthur's love isn't just emotionally painful, but physical as well. He hasn't been able to breathe without pain since that day in the forest. And his cough is producing flower petals, a sign that something much worse is going on. Merlin isn't stupid, but he without options. There's no cure, and even if there was, it's definitely not pressure he's willing to put on his love. Merlin is content with his decision.
