Following Zane into a desolate wasteland of snow and ice with a broken mech, a corrupting scroll; and nothing else, he’d rather be trapped with his brother than still be at home and wondering about his well-being. Whether he’d lost him all over again. Then a stranger disrupted the fragile routine they’d established, and Cole was still willing to protect his waylaid brother.

Jay, still attempting to revive the fallen man, cried out in a painfully hoarse voice, "I didn't mean to!" He pushed on the man's scarred chest, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
The rest of the ninja watched Jay's hysteria, unsure how to react. The man was dead; and no matter how many compressions Jay did, the man was going to stay dead.

Summary
That warmth that had been Jay’s best friend earlier was turning into his worst nightmare. The room spun and that stupid warmth was doing its best to shove his eyelids shut.
“I don’ feel so good. Cole, I… I don’—”
His second stumble would’ve sent him crashing to the floor had those strong arms not wrapped around him.
When Jay drinks too much punch at a welcome party for Ambassador Veneir from Shintaro, he puts the entire mission in jeopardy. Now, with Kai missing, it’s up to Cole and the rest of the team to figure out what’s going on before it’s too late. In Jay’s defense, he didn’t know anything was wrong with the punch in the first place.

Summary
What if Jay developed asthma after having seawater in his lungs for so long?
After the end of seabound, Jay is dealing with a trifecta of issues; grief from losing Nya, PTSD from almost drowning, and a new medical diagnosis which he is doing his best to ignore. It doesn’t help that his asthma episodes and emotional spiraling form a feedback loop, making everything worse. His friends are all dealing with their own issues, but at some point Jay needs to admit, he just can’t do this alone.This was supposed to be a “5 times Jay hid an asthma attack and one time he couldn’t” type format, but I got a bit carried away and now it is a stupidly long deep dive filling the gap between Seabound and Crystalised. Mostly canon compliant, with Jay being the main exemption. Given that at the start of Crystalised the team is still fractured and miserable, the ending doesn't resolve everything, but it is still somewhat positive. Lots of angst, comfort, and Jay gasping for air.
