A very reluctant Derek finds himself forced into defending his company’s prejudiced views on national television, facing off in heated debates against Stiles Stilinski, a guy he happened to have a one-night stand with months ago and has been pining over ever since. The season has opened for the year of 1814, and with it comes the usual suspects flocking back to the ton from their rustic country houses. Eager mamas, rakish bachelors, and overzealous daughters looking to avoid spinsterhood all once again join the ranks of society for the purpose of making a match.
Though this author has little hope that this season will be any different from all the rest, I would be remiss to mention that this season will show the return of two of this society's most scandalous figures – Lord Derek Hale and Mr. Stiles Stilinski.or, when Derek Hale returns to society for the first time in eight years in order to find a match for his sister Cora, he remains firm that he will never marry. Stiles Stilinski, though intent on marrying, vows that he will never marry for love and, in fact, is looking for a match without it. When Stiles begins courting Cora, despite Derek's intense disapproval, things go in a different direction than either of them expected.
