Phantom's Reporter (and Human Explainer); Clark Kent (podfic) by litrapod (litra) for kbirb pods (kbirb)

Summary
Author's original summary:
The existence of Phantom, a teen hero relatively new on the scene, has been brought before Clark's attention.
The kid's doing a good job; he has a few accidents, but otherwise he's doing his best and, given the fact that there are zero civilian casualties, his best is more than good enough.
The problem is that there seems to be a disconnect between Phantom and the humans he's protecting, one due to what Clark is sure are cultural misunderstandings and, more prevalently, bad press representation that keeps being done over and over again.
Clark is uniquely suited to both of those things. Superman, not so much.
Clark sets out as Clark Kent, the reporter, and not as Superman, to give Phantom the interview he should have gotten when he first arrived on the hero scene...and, perhaps, to help the kid get used to explaining things to humans instead of assuming they'll understand.

Summary
Reformation is a small town in the middle of nowhere that is completely normal and average. It minds its own business and fixes its own problems.
Please ignore the rising lost order of ancient mages and the near-extinct werewolf society rebuilding from the ashes of a defeated kingdom. No, really. They're harmless. They've also unfortunately teamed up instead of keeping each other from rediscovering their past.
On a totally unrelated subject, Obi-Wan has weird powers he can't tell anyone about and it's very stressful. He also might have come back home from the city for a visit and semi-accidentally gotten back together with his ex, who has a very pretty and friendly roommate and a dog that never appears in the same room as him.
Fay doesn't know why everyone is being so awkward about this. Yeah, her husband's ex-boyfriend is back, but he's cute and she doesn't mind adding him to the household.
Cody just wants his idiot brothers to stop getting their heads stuck in trash cans on full moon nights.

Nico's life would be a lot easier if the Jedi Order hadn't gone into hiding, the Mandalorians hadn't killed their turned-Sith Chancellor, and his asshole ex-lover of a Count weren't hunting Nico down using the karking Mand'alor.

Summary
Kenobi would not Fall, and he simply would not die. Perhaps, though… Perhaps there could be a way. He would never have to touch Kenobi, never have to make an attempt in-person, to kill him. Oh, there would be risk in it, should the Jedi figure out how to stop him, should they sense who was behind it, but…
No great reward came without a bit of risk—and, as the saying went, if one wanted something done right, one simply must do it oneself.
Sidious gets Greedy, and instead of having Obi-Wan fake his death, he tries to kill him. He might very well succeed—but he will also come dangerously close to unraveling the Grand Plan in doing so.
Featuring lots of Obi-whump, lots of Codywan, and a mountain of angst.(With a happy ending. I made myself Sad enough with the rest of the fic not to fix it in the end. The rating is also probably overkill, and more for themes than actual violence.)
