Summary
Alone in Hawkins, living in Forest Hills Trailer Park, lonelier than ever, nobody knows that Steve's haunted by a ghost that he hasn't even seen yet.
Every night like clockwork, the lights at the Munson trailer turn on, and Steve checks the little glowing digits on the microwave: 9 PM. Steve’s never had the balls to go over there and check in on the place—maybe tonight will be the night that he finally goes and sees.

Steve holds his gaze as he takes it. “For what it’s worth,” he says, pulse wild in his wrists, “you don’t really seem like the ‘blindly follow evil overlord’ type.”
Eddie’s eyes catch his, dark and bright all at once. “Yeah?” he murmurs. “What type do I seem like, Harrington?”
The question hangs there between them, heavier than the smoke, full of possibilities Steve isn’t ready to name yet. His heart stutters against his ribs like a die clattering against cardboard.
“Ask me after your campaign,” Steve says finally, the corners of his mouth tugging up. “When we find out what Kas does.”
Eddie's face splits into an earnest grin, smoke curling from between his teeth like he's a particularly pleased dragon. "Can't wait."

Steve broke his promise to Dustin, and sacrificed himself to save him. Now, he’s stuck in the Upside Down, injured, with no way out. Enter Eddie Munson, who has already been stuck for a year and a half, and has been changed beyond recognition by it.
AKA Eddie as Kas and gravely injured Steve are left behind.
OR There were not enough casualties/monsters in the final season, so I’m doing it myself.

This is a Stranger Things rewrite that is almost canon-compliant? Not really because I cannot for the life of me not write a story where at everyone is a little gay. Anywho! It follows along with the 8 episodes, and my conformitygate ass is adding two more because that is the least we deserved. However, I will always be stuck in 2022, so let’s bring Eddie back :) This story will be 21 chapters, and my New Year’s resolution is to update this at least once a month

Or, Eddie makes a deal with Vecna to come back to life in exchange for his voice. All he has to do to get it back is to kiss Steve Harrington and confess his love to him. Pretty easy, right? That may be a little harder to do when he realizes that Steve isn't to fond of the stunt he pulled with Dustin and the bats...
