Summary
Jiang Cheng thumbs the seal a few times, before he finds the courage to break it, because he knows that no matter whose name he wishes to read in it, it won’t happen. Lan Xichen doesn’t feel that way about him after all.
Jiang Cheng scans the proposal and when his eyes fall on the name Lan Qiren proposes, Jiang Cheng is glad that he’s already sitting down.

“Don’t be shy now,” Jiang Cheng says and then he can feel himself blush as well. “I thought we were past that.”
“We are,” Lan Xichen agrees with a small smile and clearly makes a resolve, because he looks back up at Jiang Cheng.
“Can you keep singing, while you feed him?” he then asks and Jiang Cheng feels embarrassment creep up on him.

"Oh my god, Lan Zhan," Wei Ying says again, an ecstatic laugh bubbling up from his throat.
Lan Zhan obligingly tilts his head so Wei Ying can touch one of the ears. Wei Ying curls his hand around it, stroking the soft snow-white fur first, and then the pink velveteen that runs down the center.
Held upright by what feels like a wire frame, the ears are attached to a black velvet headband that blends in with Lan Zhan's hair and creates a seamless illusion of rabbit ears perched atop his head.
"What's the occasion?" Wei Ying wonders out loud. He gives Lan Zhan a wide grin. "Is this an early birthday present? A super early anniversary present?"
"No occasion. I just wanted to surprise you," Lan Zhan replies.
"Yeah, I'm very surprised," Wei Ying heartily agrees. "Please keep surprising me, Lan Zhan."

“Jiujiu, when was the last time you actually slept?” Jin Ling squinted at his Uncle.
“I slept last night!” Jiang Cheng lied, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Liar!” Jin Ling crossed his arms as well. “You wouldn’t look this terrible if that were true!”
“Fine!” Jiang Cheng rubbed at his eyes that were surely red from fatigue at this point.“I haven’t slept since I left for the Yao Sect.” He admitted.
“Uncle! That’s almost five days without rest!”

(Or, while hosting his family at Lotus Pier, Jiang Cheng works himself into the ground doing favors for everyone and has no time to take care of himself in the process. But, it’s no big deal, right? Lan Xichen has the same routine, every day he wakes up at 5am, he exercises, showers and then prepares breakfast and coffee for his roommate Jiang Cheng. Now that they have a school break Lan Xichen is looking forward to spending more time with his roommate.
However when Jiang Cheng announces he will be going home instead Lan Xichen is left feeling disappointed. With Jiang Cheng away he continues living with his same routine, but soon realises how much of that revolves around Jiang Cheng, and just maybe, they're supposed to be more than roommates

To say that it makes him panic is an understatement.
