Aerith Gainsborough, in her final year of college, becomes the Resident Assistant for Cetra Hall at Midgar University as a second job, when she feels the desire to be making more money. Upon beginning her job, her heart is instantly taken by Cloud Strife, captain of the baseball team and one of her residents. Friendships and romances ensue, though not without a few broken hearts.
Falling in love just isn't always easy for Aerith.

Summary
The USM Victory received a sudden change in their mission. Instead of being sent into deep space like it's original purpose, it was now being sent to a Civilian Space Station called The Horizon. The station was orbiting a mineral rich planet that wasn't cracked by the CEC. Once at the station a squad is to be sent to the planet and secure and area that a terrorist group has claimed and locked down. Only, there is new horrors waiting for the squad and the civilians of The Horizon.
This piece of literature is unofficial and is merely a fanfic with a story I felt would be interesting in the Dead Space Universe.

Aerith let out a sigh as she shut the door behind her with a quiet click. She slipped her dance bag off her shoulder and placed it on the kitchen counter of her boyfriends dorm room, quietly making her way across the room and to the fridge which she opened and looked around. Humming a small tune, she grabbed a bottle of water and shut the fridge with her hip, jumping slightly at the sight of her boyfriend Cloud standing in front of her.
"You scared the shit out of me," she said with a small giggle and gently pushed his shoulder, making the blonde let out a chuckle of his own.
"Sorry, thought you heard me, didn't mean to scare you," Cloud stated and gently grabbed her arm to pull her closer to him and kissed her forehead.
When people found out they were dating everyone was surprised. After all, Cloud was a punk and Aerith did ballet.

"Oh, hello!" her forest-green eyes gleamed like emeralds "I'm Aerith! Nice to meet you!"

Aerith sighed. “Cloud—” She cut herself off when she saw his face. There was something almost desperate in his eyes, and that gave her pause. “Why does that matter?”
He let his gaze drop to the ground. “I… wanna know if it was real,” he said quietly.
Aerith opened her mouth to reply, but closed it without making a sound. A long moment passed with only the crackling of the fire to fill the silence.
“You get them too, right? Visions,” said Cloud in the end.
Aerith hummed noncommittally. It felt strange, to talk about it out loud. She’d never done that before, not even with her mother. Even when the very first dream had left her shaking in her bed as a small child, she’d known not to say anything.
