“Buckley,” he says, and then nudges her plate like a heathen. “Got a full moon appetite I see.”
Robin sucks in a breath, eyes narrowed. “Oh wow,” she says. “Shouldn’t you be worrying about your third stint at senior year, Munson?”
Munson’s got an expressive face; he looks very briefly like he’s been slapped, then says, reluctantly, “Yeah, I guess so,” and slinks away.

There was always noise in the opera. There was always someone awake, always something moving, always some noise somewhere.
It was not uncommon, therefore, for Christine to be awakened past midnight by those strange whispers, often accompanied by a persistent rustling of paper or costumes.
At the beginning of her career in the Opera Populaire, every little thing would wake her up, and she would find herself the next day, eyes dull and voice shaking.
After a few months, however, the noises no longer bothered her. Partly because she was now accustomed to them and even found a strange relief in knowing that she was not alone, partly because she always found herself busy and when the evening came, she fell asleep almost instantly. But for the most part, this newfound peace was due to her angel.
Ever since that night, when she heard him for the first time, as she was deeply immersed in a strange dream, she had slept well and all through the night without a single thing disturbing her.
But tonight, for the first time in a long time, she opened her eyes to see the dim light of the moon coming through her window.
