Summary
Nathalie Sancoeur is becoming sicker, but she is madly in love, so she will push herself until she has nothing left to give. Gabriel Agreste is unrelenting in his mission and yet slowly losing faith that he will succeed, but his loss of hope only adds to his supervillain counterpart Hawmoth's cruelty. Adrien Agreste just wants his father to be happy and for Nathalie to get better (and perhaps to pursue a relationship with his classmate Marinette Dupain-Cheng), but nothing seems to be within reach.
When Nathalie discovers Adrien's identity as Chat Noir, she feels impossibly stuck. She thought she would do anything for Gabriel, but she realizes Adrien means just as much as her. Her heart is breaking into a million pieces as Gabriel becomes colder and Adrien's smiles grow fewer, and she realizes it all rests on her shoulders.
What decision will Nathalie make regarding the important information she holds? Will Gabriel become the father Adrien needs him to be? Would he give up his quest if he knew his son was the hero he was fighting? Will Nathalie find her happiness with Gabriel, and Gabriel with her? ... Is it even possible for anyone in the Agreste household to truly be happy?
