Rain lives with his pack near a human village. The ghouls usually keep a low profile, helping where they can in exchange for being left alone. When Rain loses control of his power, he is sentenced to hang for his crimes. Only Dewdrop, who has hated him since the moment he arrived, can think of how to save him. Will Dewdrop be too late to save his packmate? Or will they both realize they have more in common than they thought?

Perpetua was so fucking tired of hearing about Copia. Papa Emeritus bought us snacks. Papa Emeritus let us play on his phone. Papa Emeritus let us scare the humans at the truck stop. What he had yet to hear about was 'Papa Emeritus' doing his damn job.
