Laura sat on the edge of her bed and stared at the number on her phone’s screen. Her hand shook as she held her phone. She glanced briefly at the object clutched in her other hand. She sucked in a panicked breath and looked back at the phone, pushing her other hand out of her vision. Her thumb hovered over the green dial icon before shakily pressing down upon it.

Realistic slow burn, with earned intimacy:
Beginning four months after the events of the game (after a near-Perfect Ending), Laura, acquitted with the others of the Hackett Quarry carnage, is struggling with the psychological and emotional fallout of everything she went through last summer while the others are starting to move on. There's only one other person in the world who understands what she went through, because he put her through most of it. Would seeing him again do more harm than good?

Summary
When Laura finds herself in jail instead of summer camp, she and her boyfriend need to figure out what happened. Soon they learn that Max got turned into a werewolf and the cop's family is involved. Laura starts to bond with the cop and soon realizes that they have some things in common - relationships they have outgrown and that threaten to destroy them. But only one of them is able to make the first step towards freedom.
Also Kaylee has screen time, is an important character and we love Kaylee so that's that!!!!!
