A low groan echoes from Max’s cell—deep, guttural, strained. It’s not a word. It’s not even human. His body twitches again, more violently this time, like something inside him is trying to tear its way out. The cot creaks beneath him.
Then—another howl.
This one comes from outside, shrill and long, splitting the air like a scream. The wind kicks up, rattling the windows, and something primal twists in Laura’s gut. She jerks again against the radiator, teeth gritted, but she’s not going anywhere.
“Don’t get too close,” Travis mutters under his breath, barely loud enough for her to hear. It’s not a warning—it’s a statement. Resigned. Automatic.
God, if only he'd remembered. It's mating season.

Summary
What if killing the werewolf that bit you only prolonged the inevitable transformation, instead of outright curing it? And what happened when some of your friends were also bitten, but somehow immune to the infection? Where did that leave them on the night of a full moon?
This is something that the former camp counsellors of Hackett's Quarry would have to find out the hard way, only six months later. After going their separate ways for so long, they'd never expected to be be reunited. With old tensions and feelings rising to the surface, they're running out of time to get a grasp on what's happening to them all before tragedy strikes.
Whether infected or immune, they all must tear down their walls and confront what lies deep inside of them. That, or there will be more death than they could ever comprehend.

An AU where all the counsellors were bitten, but some are immune to the curse, and all of them must learn to live with this new reality of theirs - or risk someone getting hurt.

Summary
The poem was wrong, or at the very least misinterpreted. Killing the werewolf that infected you didn't cure you. It had to be the first werewolf, the very first- Silas. But Silas is missing deep in the woods somewhere and each of the counsellors have been bitten. Unable to put an end to their curse and with the full moon approaching once more, they have no choice but to return to the summer camp where their lives were changed forever over the course of just one night. It is up to them to work out how to deal with the trauma of what they went through, their new affliction and the new dynamics that are forming between the group.

After the events of The Quarry, the counselors decide to try to get their stories straight with hopes of getting the attention of the media. With only each other to believe their stories, they hunker down in a cabin in the next county over to put together the clearest picture they can. In the process, old relationships fade and new ones bloom. One thing is for sure: things will never be the same.
I mostly wrote this because I was missing having Max and Laura as part of the main crew, and I wanted to have them interact with everyone :))
