Summary
Richard tries to smile for the camera, but it ends up too tight. Hopefully, the audience is hyped enough to notice anything. Damned social media and the too-eager people analyzing his every move and facial muscle.
“Look at us,” Paul whispers, his voice cracking. “I’m so, so proud of you.”
Like several times before, the moment becomes intimate—tonight though, it carries something special. Even though they stand on the stage, witnessed by thousands of people, in Richard’s mind, they’re alone, hiding in their own sanctuary where no one else has the keys.
The last kiss of the tour leaves Richard with many feels.
