“Why is he a bastard this time?” Ashido asks curiously. Some part of Katsuki immediately doesn’t trust it—knows her predilection for criminal activity innately after two years—but more of him is like an uncorked bottle, foaming at the brim.
“The goddamn rock.”
There’s a beat of silence.
“Uh,” Sero says. “What?”
“You heard me!” Katsuki barks. “That fucking—” He starts strangling the air again with renewed force, “—rock.”
Kirishima and Ashido exchange a glance.
Jirou finally looks up from her notebook to frown at Katsuki. “Okay, we know what those words mean, but not like that. What are you talking about?”
“His stupid rock!” Katsuki repeats, frustrated. At Jirou’s unimpressed look, he elaborates, “that stupid fucking rock he’s taking everywhere!”
Todoroki makes a new friend. Bakugou hates his whole goddamn life.

Summary
Todoroki goes quiet. Then his face does the thing it does that means he’s going to be real fuckin’ annoying – mouth goes to a stubborn line, eyes set, eyebrows furrow slightly in the middle. It’s fucking cute and Katsuki hates it. Fortunately, it’s also usually followed by something so utterly infuriating enough that he’s always been too irritated to lose his willpower and do something terrible like kiss the stupid fuck or tell him he’s pretty.
“Well, who came with me?” he asks, as if that’s some sort of slam dunk victory. Obviously Katsuki had to go with him. Katsuki’s never met a smarter person with less common sense or self-preservation instincts than Todoroki Shouto; like fuck could he let him go into some random goddamn portal alone. That would be akin to manslaughter or something. Very fucking unheroic.
Quirk physics is all well and good until you're in an alternate universe (probably) with Todoroki Shouto and his unbelievably annoying good looks.
