Summary
It's been roughly one year since the barrier fell and Monsterkind returned to the Surface. In that time Humans and Monsters figured out a way to make SOME form of co-existence happen after months of arguing with local and federal governments. While not everything is completely peaceful, Frisk the human is looking forward to a bit of normalcy in the form of their fifth grade school year at Skyline Elementary. But normal is a hard thing to come by for the young ambassador. At least they have their monster family to lean on when things get tough.

Avatar Liu Sukhon has been missing for three months since she was outed to the world as Avatar Korra's successor. She has fled from her home in the Earth Kingdom town of Spring Bud Bay in oder to avoid her destiny, at least for a little while longer, and the search is on. With her pumalope companion Felin by her side, she now resides in the seedy underbelly of Republic City. Liu intends to forge her own path and master the four elements in her own time, without the watchful eyes of literally everyone upon her. So when she meets a pair of hot-tempered siblings from the Fire Nation named Minako and Haruto Kashura, their entire lives are changed forever. The world just got a whole lot more interesting, and with many parties trying to find the new Team Avatar for their own reasons, no place is safe for too long. Will Liu be able to handle the pressure everyone is putting upon her? Or will she falter and let the world fall into the hands of the mysterious organization threatening to destroy everything that she loves? Between the White Lotus, the Earth Kingdom government, bounty-hunters, and a mysterious force threatening the balance of the world, Avatar Liu has plenty on her plate as it is. Of course, everyone does, but yours isn't particularly nice. Not that anyone else will EVER know that.
Between studying hard for an Art Major, being an author, being one of the largest activists for monster civil rights, and keeping your rather nosy monster friends out of your love life, you have a lot on your mind to keep you from thinking about what you've been through. Your SOUL is rather private, and that irritates a certain skeletal friend of yours.
But when you reluctantly agree to help your two favorite scientists out with a soul-related experiment at their work place, you accidentally make a connection to The Void... And bring the father of your two skeleton roommates back in the process through very unconventional means.
