Gordon is having a bad day, to say the very least. He was late to his afternoon meeting, he's getting mocked by his co-workers, and his boss is giving him the riskiest case of the decade. Then he turned into a 3 foot horse with wings. Now he has to team up with two other miniature equines to find somewhere to live- well, not normally, but as normally as they can.

Summary
Sonic worked alone. Although he had his friends like Amy, and Knuckles, who would help him defeat Eggman, or at least scare him away for a bit, they never really were a team. Sonic was reluctant to call them friends, but he made sure to keep them at an arm's length.
All of Green Hill knew Sonic. Of course fame came with extraordinary power, being a “hero”. Everyone knew him, but no one really knew Sonic. But he made sure to keep it that way.
So, if he didn't get too close, that would protect him from being too hurt when they go. So despite their countless attempts, (especially Amy's), Sonic worked alone.
That was, until the day he found that two-tailed fox cub.
