Summary
Astarion is so used to being used by everyone around him he can't figure out this new member of their merry band of weirdos wants. The druid is helpful, almost too helpful, but doesn't seem to just want to sleep with him. He isn't used to having someone stir up real feelings in him and he can't decide if he likes it.
All he is sure of is that he has become addicted to the taste of the man's blood, and is becoming addicted to the man himself.

“Good night Astarion.” The man rumbled. “May your trance be peaceful.”
Astarion blinked, then blinked again. That was impossible. No one turned him down, well except Tav but Tav was special. He could smell the alpha’s arousal. The man wanted him. But was already reaching for the tent flap to eject Astarion like a drunken mistake.
He blamed what he did next on his post feeding drunkenness and his desperate need to find familiar ground with the man.
He darted forward and kissed the man. Halsin froze, his hand halfway to the tent flap. Astarion had managed to surprise him, he had reasserted dominance.
He pulled away.
“Goodnight, lover.” He drawled.
The flush on Halsin’s cheeks made the whole strange encounter worth it.

Summary
Astarion was cold.
It wasn’t just a feeling, he lacked blood flow. It was a fact that he was always cold. He took joy in brushing up against an unsuspecting neck and watching the owner flinch in surprise. While Wyll and Tav had hilarious reactions, Gale was his favorite. And it wasn’t because they now shared a bed amongst other things.
Well, it mostly wasn’t because they were sleeping together. Astarion was a shit stirrer. And Gale’s shit was so easily stirred.

Summary
So after playing both their origins, I figured these two would fit very well together. I wanted to really delve into Astarion's trauma, his lack of recognising his own boundaries and how to navigate them, and how the world's softest wizard might react to helping him through this trauma. In short, Astarion learns that saying no is okay, and that consent can be retracted, because what he wants it actually important. I just thought he deserved some softness. <3
I imagined this set after a romance that's a combination of both their routes; a hook up at the party, a love confession from Gale under the stars followed by a magical trip under the weave, and now they're navigating this new relationship together.

Summary
After they arrive in Baldur's Gate and Gale has another particularly unpleasant conversation with Mystra, he just wants to go out, have fun and get drunk enough to forget about it all for a night. And who better to ask for company than local hedonist and complete mess of a man, Astarion?
Inspired by that one line of banter where Astarion says that he pictured his return to Baldur's Gate to include days of hedonistic debauchery and Gale says that it sounds like a recipe for disaster but he is starting to enjoy the taste of chaos.

Astarion tried. He really did try. He didn’t want to give Godey the satisfaction of pain. But the skeleton was practiced in his craft. He knew just what to do to make the spawn, any spawn, cry out. Or in his words 'sing'.
All of Cazador’s spawn knew it would be only a matter of time for Godey to succeed. And as Godey told him many times, Astarion was his favorite to make sing.

Astarion wondered if perhaps this was going to be the end. He knew he should feel something— anything if this was going to be how he died. Astarion reached to try and find an emotion; scared, angry, happy?
Astarion felt nothing. He wanted to run and hide to lick his wounds. He wanted to be free of this pain and agony.
He was so hungry and tired.
Maybe he would finally get his wish.
[Astarion was never picked up by the Nautiloid. When he is tasked to bring a new victim home, he ends up getting captured and taken prisoner. It is only a matter of time before Cazador starts looking for him-- he doesn't know what he should fear more.]

It wasn't all bad, he had supposed, Wyll was easy to read. Astarion could endear himself to him and ensure his spot within their little group in case things ever went arse-up. All it would take was a bit of flattery and wandering eyes… But no. Because nothing in this situation could be simple, Wyll was practically a stone wall. Astarion could bat his eyelashes, jut out his hip, and lower his voice to the most sensual timbre, but Wyll would only laugh and wave away his advances. It was beyond infuriating-and even humiliating-to have his one reliable means of self preservation outright ignored.
