Summary
Christine is an (unpopular) urban exploration youtuber whose trill for abandon buildings had run dry. Searching for ways to feel anything, she spirals into late‑night boredom and restlessness, she stumbles across a chaotic, hyper‑colourful ad for The Amazing Digital Circus, a full‑dive VR game that promises overstimulation and immersive weirdness. During her venture to obtain a copy of The Amazing Digital Circus, she meets Felix, an employee at C&A who has his quirks, but aside from the constant teasing and ridicule, was a relatively normal guy. The two of them hit it off pretty easily and Christine ends up becoming some kind of uber for the man, because for whatever reason he refused to drive a car. After this Christine dives into VR as Pomni, a jester of sorts, she meets the other members of the circus and goes on many adventures she hopes will scratch that itch in the back of her brain.

He definitely liked what he saw—her short height, small figure and quick temper reminding him of someone he’d foolishly fallen in love with in what felt like forever ago. Not like she’d be proud if she saw him now, messing around with anyone who even resembled her by just a flimsy margin. He just had to admit it to himself as he hungrily ate her soft features with his eyes like he could ever be satisfied.
Afterall, they’d been free for a bit more than a year now. Every pretty feature of her jester face was fading from him, fast. Her soft, kind voice that always knew what to say was the first to depart, then the next thing he knew, he found himself forgetting how sweet her laughter was. And, at the very bitter end, the self-worth he had when she kissed him and chose him to make love to. The movie played before his eyes every day, every delicious rewind corrupting the cassette that was her memory in his mind. Sooner or later, he’d realised the world was too modern and too ever changing for the format to keep up with him. He was overwhelmed.

Summary
Jax pressed the red button, saving the group from a trip to Shrimp Town. But in doing so, everyone remains trapped in the circus forever, or so they all think. After Caine goes crazy and the circus is eventually destroyed, Felix, who goes by Felicity now (Jax), and Christine (Pomni) wake up in the real world again. By chance, their paths cross once more.

Thankfully, his past experience at a bar when he was younger got him hired as floor staff and a basic bartender, though they’re training him up to be fully qualified. Nobody shuts up about this old employee joining though. Bosses niece? She sounds annoying … and she is. But he just loves to piss her off. It’s fun!…
They both can’t help but wonder why the other is so familiar, though.
