Summary
Caitlyn is a Remembrancer, a chrono-enforcer, and a legendary sheriff. She is feared across all timelines, known to all chrono-fugitives who would dare pass into her crosshairs. Underneath her model performance record however, is an inescapable past that haunts her every nightmare. Her current assignment, hunting the chrono-fugitive Ezreal, has had her jumping through time at a breakneck pace, but recently, it appears that Ezreal's time has finally run out. She has cornered him in one of the timelines that the Remembrancers have a base in, no less! It is only a matter of time before she catches him, but this timeline threatens to dredge up everything in her past that she has been keen on suppressing... And that's because she has to team up with Piltover's 'finest' cyborg beat cop who is an alternate version of her childhood love.

“What the hell is that?” Vi broke out.
Caitlyn did not respond.
“I mean that clearly wasn’t there before, right?”
“No. No, it wasn’t.” Caitlyn uttered, before finally getting ahold of herself.
She immediately grabbed her rifle. Expertly loaded it and supported the barrel on the inner shoulder of the driver seat. She looked through the scope, her finger twitching to turn off the safety switch.
After a couple of torturous moments Vi finally blurted out.
“What is it, Cait? What do you see?”“I don’t know, the fog, I can’t-“ Caitlyn anxiously stammered. “I cannot tell but judging from its size I fear it’s likely a person.”
Vi let that info sink in. There it was again, that ugly weight clawing at her shoulders. She couldn’t dwell on it again, fuck that.
OR
The exclusion zone expands in a desperate attempt to contain and conceal the outbreak of a violent epidemic. Having barely escaped as the city fell into anarchy, Caitlyn and Vi now struggle to survive and link up with what is left of their families, as well as their own humanity.

The woman huffed in clear frustration. “It’s Vi." Sighing, she turned in her chair. "But it's fine. You must be—” Vi froze with her lips parted, eyes widening as she looked over Caitlyn with what could only be described as shock.
“Caitlyn—the new HR intern. Apparently I'll be shadowing you?"
Aka: For her summer internship, her first real work experience, Caitlyn did not expect her mentor to be practically the definition of her type, and she certainly never expected that she might fall for someone twelve years older than her.
