Because for all the space he put between them, all the time he let pass, it was those eyes, staring at him like they owned him. It was Lupin, taking what he wanted without a care for anyone else. It was Severus’s knees, going weak with every glance, every touch, every word Lupin uttered. It was his body, betraying him, giving itself to the man he hated, and it was his mind, following suit as he was succumbed under Lupin’s demands.
No matter how much space he put between them, how much time he placed between them, those amber eyes owned him.
