Summary
Teagan is on the run from her past and hopes to make a new start for herself in Sandrock (just like everyone else, right?). After spending most of her adult life in Highwind, she was forced to run, taking only her skills, knowledge, and a trunk of tools with her. Luckily, she's not new at this Building gig, having been at it for a few years, and has amassed a small nest egg to help her get started in this dust bowl. She brings no expectations, but finds ambiguous loyalties and dark surprises around every sand-covered corner. Her past comes back to haunt her despite her attempt to escape it, and the only thing keeping her in the disaster-prone town is the love triangle that causes her as much grief as it does ecstasy.
[Marking this as semi-AU because a few characters are not mentioned/included in my version of events, although this does *mostly* follow main story timeline as well as use direct game dialogue as appropriate. Summary
Aria of Highwind was a daydreamer. Her afternoons were spent dreaming about adventure outside the walls of Highwind and creating these scenarios to an amused Nia. However, one flyer changed her perspective. Sandrock needed a new Builder, and she was perfect for it. Packing her things and saying goodbye to her home as she knew it, she was off, a new adventure awaiting. Her spontaneous decision did not worry her; afterall, it was only a year and nothing big happens in little podunk town like Sandrock.
Soon she learns that there's more to the town and it's people; and that her job was more than just taking comissions and building things around town. But most of all, she learns that love can be right around the corner.
