Summary
In hindsight, it should have been obvious. The way Rumi refused to go to the bathhouse, her bizarre relationship with Celine, this whole thing with the Saja Boys? Mira prided herself on reading people, and she felt stupid for not seeing it sooner. The pieces were all there, just waiting to be put together.
Rumi was gay.
The night after the joint signing with the Saja Boys, Mira went to confront Rumi about her ongoing weird behavior. Instead of letting hurt feelings drive the conversation, Mira took a minute to try and figure out what might be wrong. Unfortunately, she came to the completely wrong conclusion.
Misunderstandings ensue. They talk it out.
For better or worse, everything changes.

“Rumi, we know you’re queer as shit, if that’s what you’re worried about-” Mira interjected dryly, trying to lighten the mood the only way she knew how.
“W-what?”
“We don’t mind,” Zoey stepped in, ever so sweet and helpful, “It would be rather hypocritical of us, really.”
“What? No.” Rumi said quickly, head thrown for a loop. She shook her head, trying to come to terms with the implications of their words, and scrambling to take control of the conversation again. “I mean, yes.” She let out a panicked little laugh. “Okay. I guess that’s sorted, but that’s not it.”
“Well then what has you so worked up? Unless you’re dying, or secretly a demon sent to-” Mira started up again, but she stopped short at the sight of Rumi’s full body cringe.
“I wish you didn’t say that.” Rumi said in a small, vulnerable voice to fill the sudden, sharp silence.Or:
Rumi decides to come clean about her heritage when Mira asks if she is hiding anything. The confession sets a wild string of events in motion, but they will deal with it as a team, come hell or high water. And come it may...Updates weekly (kinda) <3

If it weren't because of Jinu, nothing would have happened.
If Jinu hadn't called asking for help for his friend, and if Mira hadn't owed him a favor, everything would have been as usual. If Jinu hadn't convinced Abby to cancel his appointment with Mira so that Mira could take his friend, Mira's life wouldn't have been shattered. If Jinu had recommended another stylist to her friend, Mira wouldn't have found herself at the lowest point in her life.
But Jinu did all that.
And now Mira looked at Rumi's back and wanted to scream in despair.Or
