Summary

One stormy afternoon beneath a sky washed in deep red, as rain lashed against the windows and the wind howled outside, a knock echoed through Hua Cheng’s door.
Stepping out, he found Xie Lian standing there—soaked from head to toe. His ink-black hair clung to his face, droplets tracing the curve of his lips, making him look like a white flower against a crimson dusk.
“Do I live here?” Xie Lian asked.
Hua Cheng didn’t answer.
Xie Lian furrowed his brows, looking both confused and innocent. “I’m sorry, but I can’t seem to remember things clearly. Can you tell me… are you my boyfriend? Do I live here?”
Hua Cheng's heart trembled, but his expression remained composed. Slowly, he smiled, reaching out to pull Xie Lian inside. His voice was warm, his tone gentle—like a lover’s.
“Yes,” he said. “You’re home late, Gege”In this world, you are the one I love the most—past, present, and future.

After Hua Cheng disappears in a flurry of silver butterflies, Xie Lian waits for his return. Rumours whisper across the land. Crimson Rain Sought Flower has returned and is ruling over Ghost City. And he doesn't remember Xie Lian at all.
“Did daozhang think he could come here, flash his enchanted eyes, and pull one over on the Ghost King?” Hua Cheng coos.
Xie Lian’s teeth begin to chatter. “My enchanted…my…aha—”
“I have never seen a performance quite like it in all my long years. Daozhang must be very experienced in getting his way just by fluttering his long lashes. But is he truly foolish enough to believe this act will work on me? Does he think I will fall for his tricks?”
