Summary
Steve Harrington thought that failing physics was bad enough. Turns out, being stuck with insufferably annoying nerd Dustin Henderson as his tutor was so much worse.

A little messed up, do you feel it?
Just a taste, like Blood and Chocolate in My Mouth
Wanna know which way I'm leanin'
Am I really made of this, am I really made of that?
And is it so bad if you crave me?

Summary
“Have you ever wondered why you keep going from girl to girl?” Jonathan asks, not unkindly. He’s got that look on his face that Steve never knows how to interpret.
He exhales slowly. “No. Yes. Not really, but it’s crossed my mind.”
Or, Steve visits Jonathan in New York and they get snowed in, which presents as the perfect opportunity for honesty.

Summary
Steve hasn’t been sleeping. The panic attacks are getting worse, the ringing in his ears won’t stop, and he can’t look in the mirror without seeing what the Russians did to him. So he does something he never thought he’d do—he shows up at Jonathan Byers’ door asking for weed.
What starts as a desperate attempt to quiet his mind for a few hours turns into something else entirely: an honest conversation, a vulnerability he didn’t know he was capable of, and maybe, finally, the understanding that he doesn’t have to carry his trauma alone.
tl;dr: Steve Harrington shows up at Jonathan Byers’ house with a lie about wanting to try weed “for fun.” Jonathan sees right through it.
