    Rocky stares at me, as much as a being with no eyes and 360 degrees of echolocation ability can stare. I am acutely aware that he can hear every beat of my heart, every hitched breath. He can probably sense the pinpricks of sweat that bead on my forehead. I swallow, my heart hammering in my chest at the silence.

    我也不知道如果我们当时的分别就是永别，我会怎样。刚开始这似乎没那么痛苦——毕竟，我们的分道扬镳正是由于任务成功了。我会回到波江座，回到Adrian身边，回到我的家。但同时那意味着我要把Grace抛在身后。想到这一点就令人难过。但当这种情绪在我身体深处逐渐酝酿，我发现它带来的痛苦令人感到如此熟悉。距离上一次我遇到这样一个可以因为失去其而哀伤的对象，已经过去很久了。我不愿再去深想。我还没准备好。
