All along the right side of the infant’s face was blackened, charred skin; an insidious, tar-like appearance taking over the skin and slowly branching out along the curve of his jaw and up to his hairline. Could it even be called a scar? Sirius didn’t know. He couldn’t think much of anything, with his heart in his ears and sawdust in his eyes and his best friend’s blood slapped across his cheek like war paint.

[PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS 'CREATURE OF WINTER']Death thought that he had managed to avert the crisis rather well, all things considered. Harry Potter was dead, sure, but the boy's lack of a beating heart was hardly that much of a issue in the greater scheme of things. Really, it was Death's opinion that his master had been improved upon in death, now that he was without pesky things like a heartbeat or blood.
Though, it certainly brought in a great deal of questions regarding the boy's mortality when he got up every morning to eat breakfast.

Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”
