Summary
When Lavender Brown sees someone in trouble, her first instinct is to go help, even if that someone is as unpleasant as a Blast-Ended Skrewt. So in fifth year, when Lavender has a prophetic dream in which Professor Snape is bitten by a giant snake, she immediately starts planning to save him.
Along the way, Lavender learns to enjoy Potions and even, slowly, starts to appreciate the teacher she's trying to save. Their newfound mentorship, however, makes the bewilderment Lavender feels all the more painful when Snape kills Dumbledore at the end of sixth year. What does it mean to have faith and kindness, when there seems to be so little to go around?
The future has teeth Lavender can’t predict, and all her bids for security go nowhere. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be other, better surprises in store.

This is my experimental work using D&D cosmology to convey a dark devilish fantasy story about the birth, development, and story of a devil. As I am essentially solo writing this story, it may have some indulgent prose or other gratuitous flaws. I politely ask the reader be patient and be aware of the lore heavy narrative and the lower emotional range of the characters. Most character interactions are narrative or philosophically focused and not emotionally centered. I did not write this to be romance or smut, so I hope the reader will not be disappointed to see a lack of emphasis on sexual detail (though some brief mentions of sexual content or themes exist). Nudity is present in the story, but not gratuitously, I hope.

But everything changed when Vladimir left the armed forces with fury towards the government and the West. Marfa didn't expect that her husband would eventually turn to crime and that she would almost be caught in the crossfire. Vladimir has always treated her well though, so maybe, just maybe he won't hurt her...right?
It would not take long until she is proven wrong once she learns the news of the Zakhaev Airport massacre. Would she confront her husband and potentially lose her life? Or would she remain silent and quietly endure his seemingly fickle yet sincere affections?
