Summary
The year is 1991. While Mike Wheeler’s friends have gone off in grand adventures around the country, he’s stayed in Hawkins. Between writing stories based on the adventures he had back in the 80s, and sometimes helping his parents care for his younger sister Holly, all of a sudden the town he grew up felt a lot less familiar.
All of that changes when he gets a mysterious postcard, and decides to take a solo trip across the world to finally gain closure…or perhaps a confirmation his theory about what transpired that fateful night in 1987 was correct this whole time.

Holly Wheeler is still missing, and the dawn of November 6th, 1987 falls upon Hawkins. Will Byers, as soon as he’s gained powers…he’s trapped in Vecna’s mind. But with one more day presumably left, our heroes find themselves running out of time and quickly running out of options…

Summary
The Party is struggling to move on after Starcourt. As they're being tested through the day-to-day trials of normal life, a new threat surfaces from the Upside Down. At the same time, Eleven and Mike find themselves forced to deal with a past El thought she'd left behind as the secrets set Eleven on a collision course with the beginning of the end...
Thankfully, El isn't alone.
…wait, didn’t the Byers move out of Hawkins? Why are they still here? Why is Mike going with El? Haven’t we gone through this dance before?

Mike had failed. The Party had failed. All of these innocent children they tried to protect had been taken. Taken to God knows where in the Upside Down, with the only possible ideas being theories and visions...he had been leading. Doing his goddamn best.
But even the strongest can't be strong all the time.
