"I just feel bad that you're missing out on spending time with your friends, just to drive me so far," Peat says, because he does feel a bit guilty about that. If he wasn't in China, Fort could be spending the night with the Trofi staff - his friends - unwinding and having fun after spending the day at the amusement park.
But Fort shakes his head and reaches across the seat to find Peat's hand without looking, wrapping it in his long fingers and drawing it up to his lips to press a lingering kiss against Peat's knuckles. He moves Peat's hand to his cheek, and Peat can feel as well as hear Fort talk.
"I get to spend a few hours with the man I love. Who wouldn't choose that?"

Summary
Never having quite been a wild horse, Sky had still been someone needing settling. Sky taught Rain that soothing someone else could bring calm to Rain himself. Sky was a boy who didn't seem to want to look Rain head on when they first met, but held out his palm and showed Rain a little paper frog he made, and told Rain his favorite fruit is strawberry, and Rain had thought about Sky a lot that night after freshman orientation. He thought about how to give Sky comfort, and peace. Even thought about how to bring him a little joy, if he could.
Rain’s thought about Sky every day ever since that orientation, even when they were just friends. Not that 'just friends' ever really existed; for much longer than not, Rain has felt like Sky is one of the things that fit into a place in Rain's life that was previously missing substance and soul. Just like Phayu was one of Rain's missing pieces, just in a slightly different flavor.
Rain wants to lick up all the flavors of his loves, have Phayu's and Sky's and Prapai's dripping out of a mouth that can't contain them.

Summary
As always, as soon as he can see the dock appear, Tongrak stands at the bow of the boat with his fingers tight around one of the mooring cleats so that the first thing he see is the figure of Mahasamut waving from where he's likely been standing for hours in eager anticipation of Tongrak's return. Despite Tongrak feeling insecure and more critical of his body than he has in a very long time, his heart soars as soon as he sees Mahasamut.
The happy feeling doesn't last long, though. As Mahasamut grins while the boat glides up to the dock, reaching for the same cleat Tongrak is gripping, all Tongrak can think is that the larger, looser clothing he's wearing is going to make Mahasamut realize how chubby Tongrak's really gotten.
