Kieran Duffy did not do favours. Asking for a favour meant owing one in return, and there was little Kieran could offer that the sort of people he'd have to ask favours from didn't already have.
If help was offered out of kindness alone, it didn't count. An act of kindness was not a favour, it was a blessing that he could hold safely in his thoughts whenever the world felt too bleak. These only counted if they were done without his input, otherwise they became a favour and Kieran didn't do favours.
