The population of alphas, omegas, and betas were shrinking. To fight that, the government placed a new international law. Every alpha, omega, or beta had to be mated. If they weren't mated by age eighteen, they would be forced to mate. The government would make them go to an international forest region specifically owned by the government to find a mate. The only inhabitants of the forest should be those who had to be mated. And once inside the forest, it was impossible to leave unless the alpha, omega, or beta was mated.

Summary
Wilbur and George were by each other side since they barely turned six. It did make the separation much harder for both of them.
Wilbur never wanted to move to LA and become a musician, he only ever wished to live a quiet life with George. George never wanted to be on top of Hollywood, surrounded by rich and famous people with his hand in unlovable hand. He only ever wished to persuade his dream job with Wilbur here to support him through the whole thing.
But maybe universe is kind enough to give them another chance after they learned their lessons.
