“Mike?” Will’s voice quivered, distracting him from his tests, “I don’t think we’re in your basement anymore?”
“Huh?” Mike stared gormlessly at Will whose head was swinging widely from point to point around the room.
“We’re not in your basement!” Will said, definitely sounding panicked at this point.
It took a moment for Will’s words to compute, his brain struggling to catch up as he regained his remaining mental facilities. Which would make more sense had he landed on his head, not his back.
Not being in his basement would explain the soft landing, white ceiling, and the spontaneous music at least. It saved him a broken back that’s for sure.
He slowly peeked around the room taking in the large double bed, sturdy set of drawers, and the overflowing bookcase tucked in the corner.
No way!
No freaking way!
He was back!

Mike hesitated. He had always had reservations about Will and the World. There was something so special about what Will was to him—so private—he didn’t think he was ready to share it with anyone outside of his immediate circle of friends and family. He was ready to voice these notions when Will clambered onto the floor between them, leaning heavily on Mike’s legs.
“Hey guys,” was all he said.

Or, everyone except WIll is a celebo (Will's the cool mysterious friend (you know the type)) and Mike is determined to keep it that way. It isn't his fault people can't ignore him when he's obviously pining over Will!!!!
