Summary
Francesca—Cesca—Vitelli moved to Redgrave City for a fresh start. A chance to make new friends, build a name for herself, and finally live somewhere witches like her weren’t treated like walking red flags. The fat paycheck she was getting through Morrison for offering her services to a city in recovery? Just a bonus.
She hadn’t expected to befriend a smartass, depressed half-devil—or to get dragged into his circle of chaos, which included: an equally depressed chick with a rocket launcher, a blonde woman who smelled like ozone, a bratty little gremlin obsessed with all things pink, and a traumatized, wet-cat teenager with a glowing arm.
It wasn’t the life she was expecting to make for herself, but it certainly kept her busy.
And maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing. -

Summary
Vergil wasn’t entirely sure how they got here, but he wasn’t exactly complaining about it either.
It had started innocently enough, the roots of the Qliphoth had spread further into the underworld than they’d thought. So much so that just cutting down the nasty murder tree wasn’t going to be enough. The roots left behind were near-bursting with blood. Demons from across the underworld could feed on it, and run the risk of growing strong enough to pierce the fragile veil between worlds that the twins had just repaired.
So they stayed, and burned every root from the stump outwards, and killed any demon stupid enough to cross them on the way.
And, since beating the crap out of your sibling gets boring after the first week or so, the twins had started using what little downtime they had to Talk.

Summary
It starts like this: Essek, in a fit of lonely idiocy, agrees to partake in a honeypot scheme with the Mighty Nein. It goes about as smoothly as he should have expected.
It evolves to this: by decree of Deirta Thelyss, Verin is tasked with protecting his brother and his brother’s friends(??) as they parlay with the Children of Malice over the diplomatic incident they caused. Verin remembers his brother being much more of an aloof douche and much less of a floating disaster.
Or: In a reality where the Mighty Nein do a stop in Xhorhas prior to meeting up with DeRogna, Essek agrees to help with one side quest and ends up with a lover, a brother, and a fight with a god.

It’s not the first time Caleb’s gagged on Molly’s dick. It is the first time he’s gotten stuck on one of his piercings though. It would happen in an alleyway in the middle of Zadash, wouldn’t it?

Summary
The more Verin dug into it, the more convinced he became. Essek had spent an inordinate amount of time with the Mighty Nein when they came to Rosohna. Done all sorts of strange favors for them. Ferried them all over Wildemount. Arranged visits with prisoners in the Dungeon of Penance. Let them dig up his yard. Descended into Aeor with them, unaccompanied. Accepted invitations to dinner. Let one of them hug him. In public. More than once.
Mind control. It had to be.
Verin gets it into his head that Essek has been kidnapped by the Mighty Nein (specifically Caleb), and sets out on a solo rescue mission to Rexxentrum.
Hijinks ensue.
