Summary
The Mighty Nein are good people, so the legends say, but legends have a tendency to soften the edges of the truth. Stories about people nursing monsters within their souls have their audience, but not in bedtime stories or tales shared on roadside camps between strangers traveling the world and meeting in passing. Cutting out the pain and misery isn’t done to disrespect those who bear it- it’s just inevitable that things get lost along the way.
Villains who find themselves face to face with the Mighty Nein often expect noble, traditional heroes who would never hurt someone who fled or asked for mercy. Perhaps on some days that would even be true.

Summary
Caleb needed to fidget. Molly knew this. It was impossible not to notice, as Caleb was a heavy thinker and seemed to need something to do with his hands while he did it. It was fine when he was at a desk scribbling notes down or working on sigils and equations, but when he was simply reading or deep in thought his hands wandered for lack of anything to occupy them.
This proves to be Molly's downfall.
(tl;dr, Caleb unthinkingly grabs Molly's tail to fidget with and it gets very sexy from there.)

Summary
But, forgive me, I have gone off on a tangent: this account is for retelling the events of our expedition, not for musing upon personal matters. It will not happen again.
__
Essek attempts to keep a professional journal of the progress made on his and Caleb's Aeor field trip, but as the days go by, he finds himself writing a lot more about his colleague (and his feelings for said colleague) than their work.

Summary
Based on the headcanon that tieflings need extra physical stimulation sometimes to quell their Hellish biology's needs. Tieflings like physical contact a lot and because of their biology are resistant to some types of pain or damage. Their skin is tougher than human skin and tieflings often enjoy intense sensations. As children, this often means extra time wrestling with siblings or getting into sports. As adults, they lean towards acts of daring and danger, taking to the performing arts or the adventuring lifestyle.
Caleb finds that Mollymauk's needs for a kind of mutual, affectionate violence match his own. They agree to let off steam together every now and then.
