Summary
Robby sighed, attempting not to be frustrated, but it clearly showed. “I’ve known Jack for years. He’s stern, sure. He’s glared at assholes who deserve it, but he’s the most emotionally regulated guy I’ve ever worked with and ever met. He’s too contained to hate anyone.”
Whitaker swallowed hard. Robby bet that if he held his fingers to the boy’s pulse, it’d beat like a scared rabbit. “Okay?”
Robby scoffed and crossed his arms, losing all of his patience. “So what the hell happened while I was gone to make him look at you like that?”
OR
Robby returns from his sabbatical, alive and with a new attitude change, expecting the Pitt to be the same. It is, for the most part, but as the days pass by, he notices a new development—tension lingering between Dennis and Jack. And for some reason, they won’t tell him what happened when he was away.

Summary
Dennis learnt that being from a big family, when you were useful, people relied on you and wanted you around. He always kept the apartment tidy and offered to cook so Trinity would keep him living with her.
When Jack and Robby invited Dennis into their marriage, he knew he needed to stay useful so that they kept him around. The married couple had a lot of inside jokes and could read each other so easily. Every time Dennis felt left out, he cleaned something or completed a chore around their house.
It was never enough, he needed Jack and Robby, but they will never need him. Right?

Summary
It's his very first shift and Dennis has already discovered an issue with his ED rotation.
Every time their attending, who he is expected to report every damn decision to, glances in Dennis’ direction, his breath catches and stomach flutters. And if that wasn’t enough, it gets drastically worse whenever the man speaks directly to him. The first time Robby asked Dennis a question, he’d blushed. Blushed.
Or, Dennis has a heart condition and maybe also a crush. Or two. He's used to dealing with everything alone, until his two married attendings prove he doesn't have to.
