Summary
Adora curses how haunted she is by nightmares, enemies she can't face skirmishing with her mind every night. “It was about when I saved you from Prime’s ship," Adora says, the jagged parts of her voice digging into her throat and drawing blood. “Things were different, though. We were too late. Prime had chosen you to become his new vessel. Catra, I-” Crimson and verdant liquid flash in front of Adora’s eyes, dragging her back under. She feels the phantom pull of fabric and muscle against a blade, claws slicing through leather and skin, a hint of Catra behind those sickly green eyes.
The dreams always end the same.

Summary
It’s the dead quiet that unsettles Adora. The Whispering Woods are so full of life, even in autumn, but everything here is muffled, muted, and gray. Summoning her sword, Adora walks further into the compound and away from her soldiers. Catra’s silent footfalls are close behind, something Adora only knows from the sixth-sense she developed when they were kids.
“Adora,” Catra says, “this place gives me the creeps.”
“Yeah,” Adora says, her voice trailing off as she keeps walking towards the center of camp, and the obelisk that rests there.

Summary
The reaction Catra gets when she walks out of the locker room washes away all of her anxiety. Adora’s jaw drops, stuttering words falling from their mouth as they try to form a coherent thought. Their eyes are wider than she’s ever seen, but the cherry on top is that Catra can smell how instantly turned on they are.
She doesn't even try to hide her smirk as she walks up to them, her hips swaying with every ounce of power she can muster. Circling them like a predator about to pounce on prey, she makes sure to tease their abs and chest and between their thighs with her tail, letting it run up and down Adora’s body. They try a few times to get a sentence out, each attempt cut off by Catra running her claws gently over their exposed skin. Eventually, they’re able to manage, “I— I didn’t expect us to be doing that today.”
Her hands find Adora's biceps, and she lets her fingers dig into the rigid muscle. She feels Adora flex for her and laughs; even when Adora is trying to be sexy they’re still a dork, which is one of the many reasons Catra loves them. But the war drum beating in her head demands something else.
“I think it’s time to bring out the big girl, handsome.”
