I know that there are children out there that aren’t lucky enough to have loving, competent parents. They could be in abusive homes. They might be in homes with good intentions, but no idea how to fulfill their needs. They may not even have homes at all…” Taro’s voice shook ever so subtly. “After becoming a father, the knowledge that there are children out there who have no other option but to live like that repulses me to the core.”
Taro looked up at his father, eyes filled with a passion that the leader had seen in his son many times growing up. One that he could not dissuade him from.
“I want to give those children a chance, father.” Taro stated. “I’m willing to give up my position for their futures. Please.”
