“So… not him, then,” Mike murmured to himself, thoughtful.
He let his gaze drift back to the blond. The guy was looking towards Will again. Wait, no. He was staring at Mike and Will’s feet, tangled together beneath the table. The boy looked up, caught Mike’s eyes for a fleeting moment, then blinked and looked away, shoulders slumping slightly.
Mike couldn’t help the little surge of smug satisfaction - and relief. He shoved it aside and turned back to Will.
Will smiled across the table at him and squeezed Mike’s ankle again.
“No,” Will said softly. “Not him.”

Post-Vecna. Mike Wheeler is determind to be a good friend. So he tries to help Will find a boyfriend.
This goes terribly wrong when Mike realises he wants to be the boyfriend.

“That’s because she loves you.” Mike tells him “And she thinks you have a very lickable face.” he adds, teasingly.
“Does she?” Will asks, eyebrows raised “Or do you?” he teases, in a moment of bravery.
“You do know what they say…” Mike shrugs, before locking his eyes with Will's hazel ones “Like father, like daughter.” he tells him, boldly.
Will's face goes bright pink at the statement.
God, how is he surviving this at all?OR
Mike and Will rescue a little kitten from the rain. It leads to a lot of wondering, hoping, bickering and falling in love.

Mike turns around and freezes in place, staring straight at Will from across the room that’s now lit up yellow. His eyes roam up and down Will’s body with a certain curiosity—a discovery, maybe, like he’s learning something new. His throat bobs as he swallows, lips parted, and his eyebrows twitch almost too subtly to see. Just a little flick upwards.
“I, uh,” Mike begins, “I can see you now.”
Will smiles. It’s a so-very-Mike thing to say. “I can see you, too.”
or, six times Mike gives Will mixed signals, and one time it comes through clearly.
