“Nervous. About the mission.” Eli prevaricated. He knew it was the wrong answer as soon as he said it, and he winced.
“No,” Thrawn said in a similar tone to the didactic one he used when trying to draw from Eli an answer to a question about strategy.
Eli looked at Thrawn’s knees, spread apart, pulling the fabric of his uniform taut across his thighs.
“Small.”
Eli had some feelings about wearing Thrawn's tunic while pretending to be Horatio Figg, arms dealer. Fortunately, Thrawn had some feelings about it too.

Summary

Summary
In a multimedia property where the Chosen One character is a girl who is WLW in every canon (c'mon Netflix don't let us down), we deserve a fairly sweet Disaster Lesbians love story with an Emily Dickinson poem at the front.
Just as MDS was mostly Netflix, and then Trust is mostly games, so this one has wound up drawing more from the books, which I finally broke down and read when the going got tough this spring. Knowledge not required, though, I'm explaining as I go!Update: OK it's been pointed out to me that I've been writing this story for a year and this summary uhhhhh isn't, so, to be more specific. I was gonna write a short/sweet little story about Ciri getting a girlfriend, but then I realized that when you're about to become Empress of the Known World it's kind of a bit more involved than that. So what this story is actually, is a fairly in-depth look into what it actually takes, as Crown Princess of Nilfgaard, to sort out your romantic life as well as like, rule the world. Prospective Husband (Candidate) Morvran also gets more screen time than I'd anticipated. This should've been a series, but isn't, I'm determined the story's going to go until Ciri and Lu figure themselves out!
