Summary
There was no way. Absolutely no way. The universe was a cruel mistress and there was no way Shane was spending the night with Ilya in room 1410 in this hotel and still being fit to play tomorrow.
What if the Centaurs stayed in *that* hotel in Toronto one time? What if Shane and Ilya got assigned room 1410?

Summary
They weren’t lying. Not exactly.
They were just being very, very selective about which parts of the truth they chose to share.Dick didn’t need to know that Roy was falling too fast and too hard — again — and he definitely didn’t need to know who he was falling for.
Bruce didn’t need to know that Jason had tied himself to another recovering addict — or that sometimes, when it was late and quiet, he still caught glimpses of his mother in all the wrong places.
Ollie didn’t need to know that Roy trusted a garage full of criminals with his daughter’s safety more than anyone back in Star City.
And no one — no one — needed to know that the Red Hood would burn down half of Gotham for a little girl who had just started calling him Papa.Because in their world, love was a liability. And that kind of attachment could get people killed.
The only problem is, that kind of life has volume. It echoes. And eventually, someone hears it — whether you meant them to or not.

Summary
Roy gets invited along as a couple of bats clear out the remains of a particularly violent religious cult. He finds something the cult left behind and watches his brothers-in-law do the surprised fish thing with their face when they realise Jason knows how to hold a baby.
What? Like it’s hard? This all came from an image in my head of Roy handing Jason a baby and saying “Hold this.” and some bat family members being bamboozled when Jason just takes the baby without complaint.

Summary
Have you ever seen someone outside the place you normally know them and just… not recognised them? Like spotting a teacher in the supermarket, or your doctor out walking their dog, and your brain takes a second to catch up? Psychologists even have a name for it; the “butcher-on-the-bus” effect. Out of context, even the people closest to us can look like strangers. And sometimes, it’s not their face that brings them back to you at all, but their voice, their laugh, or the way they still crack a joke when they really shouldn’t.
When you hear a deep rumbling voice emanating from something that seems more shadow than man you don’t question who is speaking. That’s obviously Batman.
The thing is, this time, Bernard couldn’t actually see Batman. -

Boundless by TripleBi has stolen my soul and I wrote this in a fever dream, desperately wanting to see our boys be something close to happy.
If you haven't already read Boundless you should, this probably won't make a whole lot of sense without it and it is definitely worth the read.
To TripleBi, I hope you like this <3

Summary
This is a story about my OC, See notes at the start for a bit of context.
Chapter 2 contains graphic torture; there will be a warning and you will be able to skip it.I don’t remember much about my father; he was tall and I think he was kind but he died before I turned two. According to my mother, it was a monster that killed him. She would tell me stories about a terrifying creature with giant teeth and claws that could kill with just a look. I think she liked me being scared, liked that I spent most nights in her bed to stave off the nightmares. She liked that I didn’t have friends and never went outside after dark. I think she was scared too. Scared that the same monster would come and take me and she would be all alone.
In the end, it turns out a monster did kill my father. It didn’t have giant teeth and claws though, it wore a floral apron and kissed me on the forehead. I used to call that monster mummy. By the time I turned 8, crawling into bed with her didn’t help the nightmares.
