Summary
Mari Ibarra lost her parents at age 14, just a few months before she entered high school and was given a home with Coach Ben Scott and his boyfriend Paul. Mari has no problem living with them, but is reluctant to call them a family or allow anyone at school to find out she lives with the coach.
One night, Ben stumbles upon one of his soccer players, Natalie Scatorccio sleeping at school. He worries when he finds out about her living situation, so after discussing it with Paul, they decide to give her a home.
Mari and Nat must now learn to adjust to this living situation, while simultaneously juggling school drama, secrets, soccer and sapphic romance.

Summary
Johnny Cade is once again hospital-bound after a flare-up at the Cincinnati children's hospital, over ten hours away from his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With nothing else to do, he spends all day looking out his room's window to the snow-filled parking lot. Usually, it would be a regular cold that would send him there for at least two weeks, but weird habits Johnny has accustomed to might keep him there for a lot longer than he thinks.
Ponyboy Curtis is a 15 year old who is once again, sitting in the same hospital ward he's known all his life. His day consists of drawing the things and people around him, doing his treatments and looking out the window. What he usually saw was the half-full parking lot, closed gray windows on the south building of the hospital and mini-malls scattered around it. this time however, there was one specific window that remained open no matter what hour of the day it was. in it sat a small, sun powered night light that always lit up that window at dusk, but more importantly sat a boy with greased hair and a jean jacket that seemed to catch his eye.
