Britain’s First PM after the end of history. He had dared to imagine himself in the vein of Disraeli, Churchill, and Thatcher, but now here he was. Tony Blair sat in his bunker underneath No 10 Downing Street, eyeing the proverbial Big Red Button, inhaling cigarette after cigarette as he contemplated what he was about to do.
