“Are you planning to tell me how I’m still alive?” Romeo asks.
P blinks, perhaps surprised at Romeo’s coherency, or vitriol, or both. “I was able to preserve your Ergo. It was easy enough to construct that body after my own schematics."
Slowly, Romeo forces air into his chest, a humming buzz the only sensation beneath his fingertips. “And what does that make me now?”
The smile P gives is odd, as though he’s both unfamiliar with the practice of it and the emotion behind it all at once. “Like me, I think.”
Or, Romeo is revived in a puppet body similar to P's, just in time to meet a familiar face from Venigni's past that threatens both his quickly forming bond with P and all of Krat's new, fragile peace.

An assignment as the personal escort of the Golden Guard himself doesn't sound too shabby- especially when you've got exceptional abilities to back you up. But reading minds isn't quite as useful as everyone makes it out to be, and your new charge is as bitter and unpredictable as he is endearing. Worse yet, he seems just as incapable of figuring himself out as you are.

He takes Kazuha’s other hand into his own and places it over his heart, so that Kazuha can hear — and feel — the thump, thump, thump beneath his fingers, as if Heizou’s heart is trapped in a war-cry, demanding to be set free from his ribcage. ‘Truth or lie?’
‘I — ’
‘Truth or lie?’
Kazuha’s voice is barely short of a whisper when he responds, still looking at their hands.
‘Truth.’
But it feels as though Kazuha is the one who’s caught in confession instead, because his heart clutches onto itself at the thought.

heizou teaches kazuha how to spot a liar. but kazuha learns far too quickly, and his love for the boy with twin moles has always transcended far, far beyond mere poetry and half-spoken lies.
