Ed is still trying to call him. He knows because he can hear the phone buzzing in the drawer he shoved it into when he got here. It’s either Ed or one of the boys calling for Ed. It’s all the same, anyway. No one’s calling for Izzy Hands, so the blasted thing may as well stay where it is—and it does. It stays there until the battery dies and it turns into a useless ornament, a reminder of something he should have left behind far sooner. It stays there for weeks, in fact, while he goes out to get a new phone and a new number and does his very best not to think and wonder about how many missed calls and messages are waiting in the past.

Crosshair stared at the other man for a long moment before lifting his helmet and slipping it back on. Silently, he turned back to the ray shield and pressed the button on his vambrace to turn it off before stepping through. As the shield powered back on and he made to step away, he turned back.

A few months after the events of The Bad Batch, Crosshair struggles to reconcile his choice with the harsh truth of the world around him. He finds enlightenment in the most unlikely of places and realizes he may have made the wrong decision. But is it too late to do something about it?
Two years after the events of The Bad Batch, Rex reluctantly agrees to allow Hunter and his squad to help him rescue a man who's been captured by the Empire, an Imperial double agent who's cover has been blown. What Hunter thought to be a simple extraction ends up having far greater consequences for their squad than he could have ever anticipated.

‘What else did these boys say?’
‘How they spent the weekends spreading their legs and sucking c-cocks, Daddy,’ Izzy all but whispered, voice hoarse and almost as low as usual.
‘I bet they don’t know what they’re talking about. Boys are always bragging, sweet. It’s better not to listen to what they’re saying, they will teach you incorrect things.’ Stede felt something possessive gripping him, even though all of this was just a fantasy. But the idea of Izzy learning from some random kids and not from him made his blood boil. ‘I can’t have you listen to stupid boys, my love. Daddy will teach you everything you need to know.’
‘Daddy?’ Izzy whipped his head up, eyes blown wide, his breathing getting deeper.
