“Well he did. And now I think I’m kind of falling for him and I hate it. Help me.” George groans, lying back and sprawling out his limbs. It’s a little childish but he’s allowed to be dramatic about this- he’s falling in love with his rival.
“Okay, okay,” Alex soothes, probably sensing that George is about to go from playful theatrics to actual hysteria. “Well, do you think he might be developing feelings for you too?”
He thinks of staring at the outline of Max’s face as he said, ‘You could come find me. I’d look after you;’ he thinks of waking up in Max’s bed for the first time with the covers draped over his clean body; he thinks of Max’s firm, warm hand on his torso and ‘let me see you.’
And he nearly says yes.
Or. Max and George start hooking up in Qatar 2024. It's hate sex until it's not.

Summary

On the side table where they put their keys, wallets and other daily necessities for going out is an ornate envelope with a wax seal of all things, Satoru written out in Megumi's neat, elegant handwriting.
There's an instant tickle in his stomach as he picks it up, appreciating the fine parchment and eyes going just a little wide as he feels the residuals of Megumi's cursed energy; surely placed there deliberately just for him. He carefully peels the wax seal off, a stylized dog head pressed into the pale blue wax, and takes the folded paper within it out.
Go bathe, thoroughly. Drink half of the bottle of water next to the tub. Come to the bedroom after. If you’re not feeling up to it today, come to the bedroom like usual.
