Summary
Goro comes home to Ren smelling like whiskey and cigarettes and sex. He always does, every time he lies and says he’s going to a college friends’ place. He knows Ren isn’t stupid. Ren never asks why Goro kisses him and goes directly to take a shower. Even on nights when he showers at Shido’s he still leaves smelling like him. Every time it happens he expects Ren to say something, to ask why Goro reeks.
It’s probably fucked up but Goro wants Shido to leave marks and for Ren to see them. He wants them to fight about it; he wants Ren to lose his temper and scream so Goro can tell Ren that in this perfect world where everyone is happy he’s miserable, so miserable he lets Shido fuck him. He wants Ren to know it’s all his fault that Goro is alive and forced to deal with this fake world where all his past actions don’t matter and even someone like Shido, who Maruki should probably hate, is happy.
Goro wakes up in Maruki's actualized world and is determined to hurt Ren for trapping him there.
