    Frank Langdon had been described many ways: ER Ken, the child Dana never wanted, an addict, an asshole, an absent father, a deadbeat husband. He had known for a long time that he wasn't anywhere close to a good person, and he hadn't really given a fuck about being a better one either.

    At least, until Mel. Mel, who made him want to be better. A better doctor, a better person, someone worthy of knowing her.

    The only problem was the ring that weighed down his left hand, and the guilt that came along with it.
