Loss is imminent, yet it does not change the fact that losing someone dear to you is a most painful affair.
The House of Lamentation has fallen into a deep silence. While the rest of Devildom resumes marching forward, it seems almost as if the House of Lamentation has become frozen in time. Cold, empty and grieving. The, now frequent, visits from Diavolo, Barbatos and the residents of Purgatory Hall have done little to change the stillness that fell upon the six remaining brothers.
Or, a continuation of A Single Oak Tree, where we delve into the brothers' lives after Mammon's death.

It hasn't been a good week; the constant belittling and spiteful words from his brothers, the never ending punishments he endures as a consequence of his attempts to relieve the pain swirling in his chest. Eventually he found himself pondering, thinking of ways to put an end to the suffering he goes through everyday, till he comes up with a fine solution. If he, by virtue of his very existence, brought his brothers unending hatred, then it is obvious that to put an end to that hatred, he must put an end to himself.

Kaeya Alberich, Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, for all he was praised for his brilliant mind and quick wits, could not process it. The sounds around him were muffled, as if his ears were covered by a cloth. His eyes could only stare, wide open, at the blade that had embedded itself in his chest. Summary
Childe had always assumed that he would die young. He had accepted that a long time ago, ever since he accepted the mantle of a Fatui Harbinger. However, he always thought that he would die in a glorious fight, his body broken but spirit relishing the strong opponent that had bested him. He was okay with that type of death.
Unfortunately, it seemed like Fate had decided to add one last insult to injury, because, here Childe was, dying because he had fallen in love with the ex-Geo Archon. The same Archon who seemed to have discarded him like an old toy ever since the Osial Incident.
